You want to feel equipped to share the gospel with those around you.

But it can be hard to know how to begin, and you may have questions, such as:
  • How do I even start the conversation?
  • What if I’m asked a question I don’t know how to answer?
  • How can I overcome my fear of rejection?
  • How do I keep from offending or alienating people?

Too often, the fear of rejection holds us back from having the conversations we know we should have—leaving us feeling ineffective, inadequate, and guilty about missing the opportunities God puts in front of us.

What if there was a better way to reach others with the gospel?

Sharing the gospel doesn’t have to be complicated. Every single person who has received new life in Jesus Christ can lead someone else to Christ. Our online course is one way that you can get equipped and confident to take that step of faith.

Pastor Josh

Our vision at Calvary Crossway is to make Jesus non-ignorable in Castle Rock and to the ends of the earth. Despite this vision, we’ve struggled with evangelism. The Exchange training has transformed this area from struggle to strength. Believers have been empowered and encouraged. The tools and training have strengthened our faith in the power of the gospel to change lives. As a result, many have trusted Jesus, been baptized, and are now actively serving in our church.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this course designed for individuals or small groups?

This course is designed for both! Our prayer is that both individuals and small groups find the material helpful in equipping them to share the gospel.

How long does it take to complete the course?

Including videos and independent coursework, the course is estimated to take 22–24 hours to complete. Generally, we recommend devoting an hour per week to the course, but some have completed the course in as little as 2–3 days.

Does it really work?

This course isn’t a magic solution, and we don’t have a 100% success rate. Many people that you share the gospel with won’t embrace Christ as their savior. But we promise if you share the gospel to enough people, SOME will be saved (1 Corinthians 9:22b). All that’s needed from you is a willingness to take the first step—and this course can help equip you to be ready for the next gospel opportunity.

Gospel Stories

See how lives have been changed through The Exchange! Here are testimonials from a few of the 250+ Exchange seminars:

Laura had a difficult coworker who took a picture of flowers displayed on Laura’s desk and posted them on social media as if they were her flowers! How does one respond to that? Laura sensed God leading her to buy this challenging coworker flowers, prompting this response: “This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me!” One day this woman asked Laura, “What is the meaning of life?”—a difficult question to answer in the confines of work. Laura invited her to do The Exchange, a four-lesson Bible study, which would help her friend find the meaning of life. This simple gift of flowers opened the door for Laura’s coworker to eventually place her faith in Jesus. Laura saw a true change of heart, as evidenced through other coworkers making remarks like: “Something is different about her!”

Mitch had tried to share the gospel with his neighbor, but there didn’t seem to be interest. That all changed when Mitch invited him for a day of fly-fishing in the Rocky Mountains. The relationship built that day opened the door for his neighbor to turn to Mitch when the situation in our country caused him to feel hopeless and helpless. This began a long process of studying The Exchange Bible study. His neighbor had many questions, and Mitch took time to answer each from the Bible. They would study weekly from 7–9pm. After 21 Bible study sessions and 63 hours of Bible study, they completed The Exchange and Mitch’s neighbor placed his faith in Jesus. He described it as “free-falling into trust.” Mitch writes, “It’s just awesome to see God work.”

A missionary visiting Candace’s church offered The Exchange Bible study as a tool to share with someone who needed the Gospel. God laid Candace’s personal trainer on her heart. Tiffany is a world-class bodybuilder, and even though Candace felt intimidated by her, she invited Tiffany to do The Exchange Bible study. The response shocked Candace as Tiffany said, “God laid me on your heart? Yes!” Candace describes doing their Bible study in between “torture sessions” right there on the side of the gym. At the end of the study, Tiffany still had not trusted Christ, not being able to grasp the fact that God loved her. But she wanted to continue studying. Later, Candace was at the home of some Christian friends and noticed a book laying on the counter—Living the Exchange by Jeff Musgrave. Immediately she knew this is what they would study. After Tiffany studied Lesson 1, she understood God’s love and placed her faith in Jesus Christ. This goal-driven woman has a new goal! She wants to see her husband trust Christ.

Matt’s coworker noticed that there was something different about Matt and asked, “Where do you go to church?” Matt shared the story of how he trusted Christ doing The Exchange Bible study, and sensing spiritual interest, asked his coworker to do the same Bible study. Matt writes, “I was actually nervous when I looked over the lesson, wondering if I was qualified or experienced enough for the questions that would come up.” They began studying in Matt’s truck on their lunch breaks. On Lesson 3, time was running out and Matt was getting ready to go back to work. His friend stopped him and said he wanted to pray the prayer from the book. Matt writes, “My heart was beating out of my chest as he prayed. I rejoice to share that my coworker and friend accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. I am so encouraged that God used me, and I give all the glory to God.”
