Words cannot fully express the grief and sense of loss we feel at the home-going of our Exchange Office Manager – Jalene Jaspers. She was one of God’s richest blessings to The Exchange! Dealing with pastors – she was excellent! She was married to one and understood them well. Going out of her way to help anytime and in any way possible – she was unmatched! Shipping heavy boxes, last minute shipments, unloading pallets of books – you name it – she did it all with a smile and often a shared laugh with someone along the way.
Underneath Jalene’s trademark smile was a rock-solid faith, and what made her so remarkable was her passionate love for Jesus. She helped us immensely, but it was clear that Jalene was working as to the Lord (Col. 3:23). We are confident that when Jalene arrived safely home in heaven, the Lord greeted her with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Our hearts are overwhelmed with grief for Torrey and their children. Theirs is a family that loves well, and Jalene’s love for them was always evident. She spoke of them with the highest praise. We sorrow for the Faith Point family and pray for the comfort and unity only God can give. We also sorrow for our own loss, knowing that Jalene’s shoes will be very hard to fill. But all who feel her loss so deeply find consolation in knowing that heaven has just grown sweeter, and we will see her again.
Good bye for now, Jalene. We will miss you deeply.
