Shortly after our Exchange Seminar at Faith Baptist church in Longmont, Colorado, Deb Romero was able to begin a Bible study with a co-worker, but it wasn’t going so well – cancelations. She writes, “It was evidently of God’s timing to have it be delayed. He has clearly been at work in her heart. She kept saying things like, “I’ve never thought about it like that.” and “I never knew that.” Â It was so neat to see her understanding and she thanked me for meeting with her! ”
What a great reminder. The evil one tries to get his foot in the door with delays, discouragement and cancelations, but those who believe God and persist will see that “Greater is He that is in us.”
Debbie has also been able to begin the Bible study with a young woman and her 11 year old daughter. This woman just brought a friend with her to church and he wants to do the Bible study. Don’t’ you love to see God do exceeding abundantly, above what we ask or think?
This was encouraging to my heart. I have been pursuing a friend of mine at the bank..with delays. She told me she would go to lunch with me, but when I went back later and asked for a specific day, there were reasons given to keep her from going. I will continue to pray and persist, confident that God is working!
