square baptism photoA lot of rejoining took place on Palm Sunday at Grace Life in Cypress, Texas. Pastor Joel enjoyed one of the richest blessings of ministry – baptizing new believers. Joel shares, “What is so encouraging is that each of these came to Christ through the faithful witness of a friend.” Enjoy reading Christian’s story!

“I came to Jesus in a slow, personal and extremely spiritual way. My girlfriend asked me if I wanted to do Bible study classes with her and her pastor. I was a bit interested because I was [religious] and used to believe in many things that I am now a bit ashamed of. I used to pray to angels and even death, which was a bit scary, but honestly in all truthfulness I didn’t know what I really believed. They used to teach us that salvation is through works and faith, but one day while in Bible study I learned how the Bible said that salvation was found through faith alone and that Jesus was the only person we should pray to since He did the exchange for us and gave up His life to save ours. While I was learning all of this I felt a joy in my heart which was fulfilling and I felt my whole trust and faith was in the hands of God. I believe that Jesus is our savior and I should live my life the way God wants me to. I came to this realization due to three people; pastor Joel, Candy, and God himself with His everlasting word of the Bible.”
